Fluorosis Treatment with Natural-Looking Composite Restoration
Dental fluorosis is a condition that develops when excessive fluoride exposure affects the teeth while they are developing. It can appear as white patches, yellow or brown discoloration, uneven enamel, or, in more advanced cases, enamel pitting and surface damage.
Dental fluorosis is a condition that develops when excessive fluoride exposure affects the teeth while they are developing. It can appear as white patches, yellow or brown discoloration, uneven enamel, or, in more advanced cases, enamel pitting and surface damage.
In this case, the patient visited Enamel Craft Dental Studio in Baner with visible fluorosis-related discoloration and damage affecting the front teeth. The uneven colour and damaged enamel were particularly noticeable when smiling.
We first performed professional teeth cleaning to remove external stains and deposits. After assessing the condition of the enamel, the damaged areas were restored using tooth-coloured composite restoration.
The composite was carefully shade-matched, layered, shaped and polished to follow the natural anatomy of the teeth. The aim was not simply to cover the discoloration, but to create a restoration that blended naturally with the surrounding enamel.
The final result was a more uniform and natural-looking smile, with the composite restorations blending so closely with the natural teeth that they are difficult to distinguish.
At Enamel Craft Dental Studio, Baner, we focus on minimally invasive and aesthetic dental treatments that preserve natural tooth structure while improving the appearance of the smile.
If you have fluorosis stains, enamel defects, brown or white patches, or damaged front teeth, a dental evaluation can help determine whether cleaning, composite restoration or another cosmetic treatment is appropriate for you.
